I like the way Jane was written, I liked the idea of the character and that she was a vamp hunter. I listened to it immediately and was pleasantly surprised. Skinwalker was a good introduction to the world of Jane Yellowrock, skinwalker.
Jane Yellowrock is one bad ass main character. Took me the afith novel to warm up to heroine Jane Yellowrock. I will say that the ending was quite shocking! A propitious beginning to an urban fantasy series!
She’s perfectly capable of the occasional snarky remark, but she’s aware that smart-alec comments–amongst so many ruthless characters–are the quickest way to get injured or dead.

We get a softer side of Leo and a surprisingly funny side. She makes Jane a much more complex character, and her insights as a hunter and predator while Jane is on a job only add depth to the story.
But give us a filtered version of what you found. Thanks for telling us about the problem. That’s right, not a single one. She took a lesson and—after a bout of panic attacks from fear of drowning—discovered she loved the sport. I keep having to try and remember all the stuff that happened, that was still a bit too complicated at the time, plus keep straight all the stuff that is being set up for future books.
